Mökki means “cottage” in Nordic Finnish. Please spend your time as you like in a special space that is detached from your daily routine. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. There are nature-rich sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi in the vicinity. The building of the pioneering era was renovated fashionably with plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, cypress and plaster.We also paid attention to the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the back of the building, there is a forest with a stream, and you can enjoy a walk in search of the blessings of nature, as well as swing hammocks.In the east house by the river, you can enjoy BBQ and bonfires without worrying about the weather. In the green season, as a base for hiking, biking, fishing, and sup golf, the snow season is also a great base for winter sports, including skiing and snowboarding. It is a calm space with an old house motif. The living room has a large sunken kotatsu style Irori fireplace where you can enjoy meals and drinks. There is also a 4-seat counter bar. Nozawa Onsen Ski Area, Shiga Kogen, Madarao Kogen Ski Area, and Tohachi Onsen Ski Area are all nearby, making it the perfect base for winter sports. In the green season, there are eight golf courses within an hour, including the Madarao Country Club, and many day-use hot spring facilities. The owner lives on the right side of the entrance and can be contacted at any time, and understands everyday conversational English. In the green season, you can harvest fresh vegetables from our own farm at any time, and enjoy a barbecue in the garden. The garden is also spacious, so you can also enjoy a short walk. This is a house with a superb view overlooking Lake Nojiri. There are several ski slopes (Myoko, Kurohime, and Masao), about 15-20 minutes away, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noises. Since it is a house nestled in the mountains, we will do our best to take care of it, but during the warmer months, insects can be seen.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves dance. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but it's got an incredible view. Enjoy cooking with a kitchen counter with stunning views, condiments, and a cooker.(There is no equipment for BBQ.)

There are Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and a dining room for couples, families, and groups. There is a kitchen, so of course you can cook for yourself. You rent the entire building, so you don't have to worry about sharing it with others. The house only has a shower, but there is a hot spring nearby. (7-minute walk) Ideal for the currently popular workcation. Combined with the adjacent Ume House, it can accommodate up to 8 guests.
