“A charming home in Cortona! The apartment has good natural lighting, and the views from all its window are stunning, especially in the morning when the town below Cortona is still covered in fog! The apartment has complete amenities: two beds, spacious living room, and a tiny, yet very stylish, kitchen! You can park your car outside the house, however this can be challenging as the roads are steep and narrow — but that’s part of the Italian adventure ;) Simona was a very accommodating host to us. She gave the best recommendations of places to eat and see nearby!”

“Pardon the pun but this flat is flat-out enchanting. The photos do not do justice to this welcoming property and the warmth and charm it exudes. There is incredible attention to detail and décor and it is apparent that every design decision was carefully thought out. The atmosphere of the living areas, with creamy masonry walls and high rustic beamed ceilings, is cozy and embracing with a curated sense that feels lived-in rather than stuffy, while the kitchen and bathrooms provide a clean modern counter point. The flat is spread out over all three floors of a fully renovated house, a short walk from the parking area outside the Gate of Sant'Agostino in the southern tip of Cortona’s historic center and about 225 paces from the central piazza (albeit up-hill). On the ground floor one finds a spacious modern bathroom with a larger than average shower and abundant hot water. My wife, who considers laundry to be a leisure sport, was pleased to discover a separate laundry room behind the bathroom. The parlor and well-arrayed kitchen are on the second floor and the main bedroom, sitting room/second bedroom and half-bath are on the upper level. The bed is extremely comfortable and the southern facing window provides ample sunlight (or can be fully shuttered if you prefer sleeping in). With the multi-levels you will get your steps in but as active seniors we found the stairs less daunting than many of the inclines leading to the main sites of Cortona. Part of any rental experience is the hospitality of the proprietors and both Enzo and Mioara were friendly and accommodating, obliging our schedule by quickly cleaning the apartment after the departure of the previous guests, thus allowing us an early check in. The kitchen was supplied with the essentials, such as coffee, sugar and salt, as well as bottled water and a bag of biscotti. Throughout our stay Enzo was communicative and readily available to resolve any problems either by phone, text or in person. He checked in on us frequently via text and Mioara stopped by the second day to make sure that everything was satisfactory. Self-check-in (always a plus when traveling) and check-out were seamless. We will certainly return to this lovely retreat in the historic center of Cortona and we would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting this delightful city.”
