Railway Hse was originally the Railway Hotel, built in 1885 to accommodate train passengers arriving at Swanage. The hotel has since been converted into flats, with views over the heritage railway, Swanage Bay & Ballard Down. Located in town & 5mins walk to the SW coast path, beach & Unesco Jurassic coastline. The room is cosy & comfortable with tea/coffee. Light breakfast is provided in the kitchen/dining area. Bathroom is shared with the host. NB the service charge is Airbnb booking fee.
“Pauline is an accommodating and friendly host. Her apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable. She made us a much-needed cup of tea on arrival and provided an excellent continental breakfast the following morning. She was happy to give tips as to eating places and also places to visit in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, overlooking the Swanage Railway. Highly recommended.”
Nice church view. One of two rooms available. No cleaning charges. Double room with modern petite en-suite shower room & morning sun. Secure parking in a gated community. Quiet location yet only a minutes walk to the bustling Quay, bars & restaurants. Half a mile level walk from the ferry, coach & train stations. Pets considered.
“Booked Jenny's place for its location as I was attending a wedding at The Guildhall and Scaplan's Court - I knew it was close but was absolutely delighted to find the walk was literally a minute or less to each. Also the Quay is 30 seconds walk from your door too. Jenny was friendly, laid back and knowledgeable about the area, plus there was a great welcome pack in the room. Secure parking behind the house was great, no need to worry about where to park in a busy place like Poole, and the price for the room, in comparison with everywhere else was great (we did book a year in advance though!!) Thank you!”

“A really well equipped and stylish property right where you’d want to be... a flat, short walk from the Castle and pubs. Three good-sized bedrooms upstairs with an open plan kitchen, dining, living room downstairs. Beautifully equipped kitchen with plenty of good quality kit, and tasteful designed throughout. Will certainly recommend to friends and family. Many thanks”
