This building is part of an old Catalan farmhouse dating back to the early 15th century. It has been renovated in several phases, the last one in 2018. Taking advantage of the perimeter of the main house, the renovation has resulted in an apartment attached to a swimming pool and an attached two-story house. The house and garden complex, plus the surrounding forest, could be defined as a combination of medieval civil architecture, updated with modern materials and design details.

Our hamlet enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is located 40 minutes from the ski slopes and one hour from the sea.

The only isolated holiday accommodation house in the beautiful historic complex of the medieval town of Besalú, considered one of the most beautiful towns in the country. The former home of the miller's family has three exterior spaces (porch, garden and large orchard) and two floors: the lower one with a living/dining room and open kitchen and the upper one with a bathroom and three bedrooms. Can Mercader II is an exclusive and private accommodation to enjoy nature, views, and the tranquility provided by the Serra Cavallera. We are located in Ogassa, a town with a great history since coal was extracted from its mines in the middle of the century. From here begins the Ruta del Ferro, a bike path that allows you to go to Ripoll, following the old train route. At the top we have the Taga (2035m) that crowns the mountain range.
