If you enjoy the quiet, peaceful serenity of the mountains this is the house for you. Please note there is a 1/4 mile steep decent on an unpaved road to our house and a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.

Get away from the world and relax in a charming A-frame cabin only 12 Min from Downtown Blowing Rock and 25 Min from Downtown Boone. Surrounded on three sides by the Pisgah National Forest with a long-range mountain view from the deck, adventure awaits right outside the door. Sunbear also has high-speed internet for remote work and a backup generator. Cooler months offer backcountry hiking along creeks chocked with waterfalls off the eastern flank of the cabin. Summer features wildlife, Fireflies, and a nice quiet place to escape the summer heat.
