Mount Borah is a short distance up the valley for those who want the adventure of climbing the highest mountain in Idaho. The Big Lost river offers some of the best trout fishing in Idaho with the Mackay reservoir right up the road for those who like to fish from boats or from the bank. We are located right on the edge of Mackay so it is a short walk or drive to town.

High Valley Cottage

Majestic mountain views on every side at this quiet cottage. Drive down a long winding lane, to arrive at this peaceful setting in Lost River Valley, home to Idaho’s tallest peaks. It is situated close to Mackay, (approximately 6 miles) and hosts many ATV and hiking trails. Mt Borah trailhead, Idaho’s tallest mountain, is 20 miles up the valley. The reservoir, and rivers are ideal fishing spots. We now have high speed Internet, so this is an excellent place to work remotely.
