The gateway to the Elz Valley in the Black Forest and the world-famous Glotter Valley is the small “Slow City” Waldkirch. In the suburb of Buchholz, ANNAS SCHEUNE is located in the middle of the old town center. A 2016 organically loft-like renovated farmhouse with several outbuildings from the 17th century. The decor with antiques, design classics and custom-made furniture completes the modern country style of the barn. The Präg nature adventure farm is located on the edge of the nature reserve. The Hochkopf apartment is in the attic of the farm. With about 120 square meters, it is spacious. For sunny spring, summer and autumn days, a private piece of garden with seating area is at your disposal. Chickens, ducks and cats live on our farm all year round, in summer often also sheep and horses, in the valley Hinterwälder cattle, goats and chamois. The Seppelhof is a farm that is over 400 years old, which has been completely renovated and modernized. It is detached outside of Hofsgrund at about 900 m above sea level. The property is therefore wonderfully quiet and idyllically located with a large garden. The farm has a total of 3 spacious, separate living units with a separate entrance, one of which is available to our guests. In addition to the view of nature, the proximity to France and Switzerland offers many sightseeing options.

Mettlenhof or the Mettlen Farm is a hand built, restored farmhouse in Mettlen, Schopfheim, Baden Württemberg. Rebuilt by the hosts with traditional craft and natural materials, it’s a light filled home for up to 10 guests, with floor to ceiling windows over rolling hills, Icelandic horses and Scottish Blackface sheep. Ideal for group getaways and retreats with no noise limitations or as a base to explore the Black Forest and the nearby borders of Germany, Switzerland and France.

Start your hikes right outside the door on the Westweg, or mountain bike tour through the Black Forest. Take the S-Bahn (8 min by car) in 30min. To Basel, France is 45 minutes away, Freiburg an hour. Feldberg 45 minutes. Attention: Swimming pool Schweigmatt only for club members.

The Heidi house is detached and has a separate entrance, so your privacy is guaranteed. The farm is located at the end of a road, with no traffic passing through, and is surrounded by meadows, fruit trees and forest. Our own stream and a small pond with a bench on the property invite you to relax.
