This simple private beach house is right in front of the West Philippine Sea that offers spectacular sunsets. At the back is a river with views of the mountains where the sun rises. Ideal for families and groups wanting their own space while they enjoy nature and certain basic home conveniences.
“I am planning to go on a holiday, wanna come with? Where will my feet take me next? My destination is by no means a secret hideaway or exotic location known only to a few locals, I’m no hipster mind you, so I have a very different definition of a weekend vacation is. But if you are reading this you are probably looking for the same things I am – a great view of the ocean, a place to kick back and chillax with family and friends, and excellent value for money. The small town of Cabangan Zambales is home to the aZul Zambales Beachfront House. Quite a mouthful to say but it ticks all the boxes on the holiday checklist and then some. It’ll be about a four-hour drive from Manila, you will not have a hard time finding the place, simply use Waze or Google Maps and you’re there. The beachfront property has 3 houses that can easily accommodate three families or about 15 guests at a time. The main house has a kitchen where all meals can be prepped and served in the dining area adjacent to it. It also has a front porch, a couple of hammocks, and a grille where everyone can hangout until the wee hours of the night. I mentioned the view right, standing on the porch you can catch the breathtaking sight of the sun as it sets and casts a somber silhouette over the calm ocean. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat worthy indeed! The two smaller houses are located out back with a view of the river, wonderful for lazy mornings and afternoons with coffee and tea in hand while you sift through your news feed. All the living quarters are well kept, have ample room, strong water pressure, ventilated, and relaxing ambience, perfect for when you retire after a day's worth of frolicking in the beach. Speaking of the beach, this is the trip’s main attraction. A perfect mix of serenity and tranquility, it will certainly get you in the mood for a day of worry-free relaxation while you bask in the soft kisses of the sun while the warm breeze envelops you. But if adventure is more your speed, you can go island hopping, jet skiing, snorkeling, play ultimate Frisbee or beach volleyball. There is something for everybody at the aZul Zambales Beachfront House. On top of all these, Manang, the caretaker, is always there to lend a helping hand. Need to buy supplies? She most likely will have it in her small store just outside the property. Whatever it is, she’ll be able to help you out and make your stay worry and hassle free. Having access to this weekend getaway will not cost an arm and a leg. Since you’ve saved up, filed your leave credits, you need to go on a vacation worthy of the name, I strongly and whole-heartedly recommend going to and staying at the aZul Zambales Beachfront House. As rates are subject to change, it’s better to contact Mr. Richard Bascos for inquiries and reservations. Richard is an awesome host! “Art and dennard were amazing hosts. They were very accommodating and responsive. They didnt charge us extra for having extra guests on day trip. Dennard even accompanied us island hopping. Location was excellent... Close to public market and convenience store and a few minutes walk to the beach which was one of the cleanest beaches i’ve seen. The living area is very spacious and bright with extra height ceiling and sparse furniture which was great for us with little kids who love running around. They also love the wide screen tv with netflix and wifi. Main Kitchen was big, clean, and well-equipped for a big group and there’s a cooking/dirty kitchen in the back. Water dispenser with hot and cold water was a plus. We were able to grill in the roof deck and it would have been nice to dine there in the cool evening. Outdoor shower at the back was great with nice pressure. Hanging rods were much appreciated, but one needs some repainting due to rust. The only areas that needed more attention were the two bathrooms and cooking kitchen. The faucet in the common bathroom wasnt working. Bathrooms didnt smell too clean and we had to ask for tissue paper which they must have forgotten. I would suggest to install light colored tiles for easier cleaning and bring in more natural light. The small window and ceiling light wasnt enough. And it would be more comfortable if they installed a bidet (the tabo system made the floor always wet), water heater (a must!), and exhaust (to freshen the air). The shower needed some good scrubbing. The cooking kitchen needed more organization and cleaning. The cleaners must have been in a big hurry to finish because we arrived early, but we did go straight to the beach to give them more time. The 3 bedrooms can easily accommodate a dozen guests. The beds were comfy and sheets were clean. They could use a night stand with nightlamp (so we could read a book before bed and didnt have to sleep in total darkness), and nicer pillows (some were too thin, others were lumpy from age). More sheets would be nice for colder nights. They were very generous with towels which was great. The lounge sofas were comfortable but the bench seats at the dining table were not so comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the fresh vegetables and seafood we bought from the nearby market. We love san felipe! And we’ll be back for R&R.”

(Base rate good for 2pax) THIS IS A GARDEN VIEW UNIT! 1 queen bed, 1 bunk bed, 1 double loft bed and a beach view veranda. Natural materials used throughout, local hardwoods and nipa roof. All rooms have AC and refrigerator included.
“Roy’s place is so much better than expected. The beach is so serene and the place itself is so quite. They only have 4 rooms and we reserved the Garden view. While we were waiting for our check in time, we stroll along the beach and found the beach room empty. Requested to be transferred to the empty room and since no one has booked the room, we were able to transfer successfully by adding additional fee since the beach room is a bit higher than the garden ones. Our stay is very comfortable and so homey. Surely a great place away from home. The staff and caretakers are so nice and accommodating. Bug thumbs up! And oh, they even have a cooking area where you can borrow cooking tools. It was a very unforgettable place! Will come back for sure!!! Very much recommended 😊♥️”
