Greystone guesthouse, Hornahóll cottage

At the heart of the world, we offer accommodations in adorable homemade tiny houses. Full service and environmentally friendly policy. Greystone guesthouse is located on the sheep farm Holt, Thistle and guests are welcome to participate in our farm work. Holt stands high in the country, so it's a unique view of the town-loaded, of the vast honesty and coastline of Thistle. The houses are 25 sqm and well equipped, with a kitchen, bathroom and sofa corner. Breakfast is served in baskets and is included in the price.

Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Original restored turf farmhouse in the highlands

Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

Hvoll is a farm with horses, sheeps, dog and a cat. It is located in Þingeyjarsveit by road 854. It is a perfect location if you want to enjoy the countryside and visit some of the beautiful places in north Iceland, like: Lake Myvatn (30 km away), Húsavík (27 km away), Goðafoss waterfall (17 km away) and Dettifoss waterfall (68 km away).
