Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. The house is a beautiful nature. And also we have good neighbors. You will see the real Japanese countryside that is not written in the guidebook.
