Beautiful Hideaway in the hills of trás os montes

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal.

A restored house with all the comforts you need for a wonderful retreat and/or get-together with family and friends. This house is located in an old abandoned village near the river with a beautiful little beach. If you enjoy being in contact with nature, this is the ideal place; you can find otters, many varieties of birds, etc. The house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and air conditioning. The pool is shared with another house. Meals are available upon request.

We are only ten minutes walking distance from the train station and/or bus station. The bridge up the street is right by the Medieval Castle. Pilgrims walk by our building in their way to Santiago de Compostela. There is a park across the street. Every Wednesday and Saturday a traditional street market invades the surroundings. If you are an active person, there is a CrossFit box, a traditional gym and many running and bike trails near by

Casa Folibar

"Casa Folibar" is a small house with stone walls, built in 1935 and restored in 2021. It is all open-plan and has a single floor. It is located in a small village called Manzanedo de Valdueza, a town in the municipality of Ponferrada, located in El Bierzo. The house has a maximum capacity for two people, but it is ideal for couples, as it is distributed in a double bed and a sofa bed. It also has a kitchen and bathroom.

Solpor Rural House

This little house is lovingly restored in the village of Biobra. It is a cozy and quiet space in the middle of the "Serra da Enciña da Lastra" Natural Park. From Biobra you can hike through the park's beautiful landscapes. Nearby are Las Médulas, Lake Carucedo, Balboa, El Bierzo, O Cebreiro, O Caurel, Trevinca, and the French and Winter Ways of St. James, among other options.

Sequeiro da Fonte

O Sequeiro da Fonte is a stone building where chestnuts were formerly dried in the Courel area. It has spectacular views of the Sierra do Courel, an ideal area to rest and hike. You can enjoy the river and tranquility, both in winter and summer. It is an isolated slate stone construction with a capacity for four people, although ideal for two. It has basic but cozy amenities.
