Rakuan.kitano is a 2- floor detached house．Located near the east gate of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, this is one of the most visited shrine in Kyoto, characterized by a majestic main building and related to the spiritual power of the God of learning. The nearby Kamishichiken street is one of the most picturesque of Kyoto, being the oldest flower street and just next to your homestay. Japannese teahouses are arranged on both sides of the road in an orderly manner,and often used by Geishas and Maikos.

Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. The house was an Ochaya (literally "tea house")before and we renovated it, which is an establishment where patrons are entertained by geisha. We kept the original structure and make it much more modern and comfortable. The river in front of the house is the must-see in Kyoto changing from cherry bloom to maples. The best location near Gojo bridge and Kiyomizuーgojo sta. can make it very convenient to all the famous spots.
