In addition to Curaçao's largest national park, Christoffelpark, the Shete Boka National Park ('translated: seven inlets or bays'), which was founded in 1994 and covers around 200 hectares, borders on Curacao. The coastline is more than 10 km long and has several bays and coves where various species of turtles lay their eggs. You also pass by Boka Pistol where the high waves hit the coast as if explosions are taking place.
