A high (but small) car park means its a short walk (100m) to the lake shore. Or there is a good path from the head of the Langdale valley, heading up the hill through the Langdale National Trust Campsite. Loads of overflow parking available in a field by The New Dungeon Ghyll. Single track road with passing places to drive here.

Sat at the top of a windy pass up from the end of Langdale valley, this beautiful tarn is worth a visit for a walk around it. Easy parking in the National Trust car park. Our dog loves swimming here!

One of the Lakes most beautiful Tarns. Here you can take a walk that ticks of a few Wainwrights. Lingmore Fell and Side Pike off sensational views (Watch out for fat man’s agony 🧐).

Blea Tarn is a well-known beauty spot, but its reputation is well deserved. Parking is available on the opposite side of the road to the tarn, from which a large track leads down toward the tarn. Descend from the track to the shore of the tarn to experience the tranquillity of this jewel of the Lakes. You can return the way you came, or for the full walk, follow the track on the far side of the tarn to eventually cross the road and take the path up to Side Pike. Return back down a little way and take the path to the left, traversing round the hill to The Squeeze, a place where you might need to take your back pack off to squeeze through.
