Good quality food at a reasonable price. Good ambience but limited menu that changes daily. Excellent quality of produce well prepared cooked and presented.

The Blue Plate is a restaurant, café, deli and bakery. The restaurant specialises in local seafood & Cornish pasture meats. They serve the best local fish, shellfish & hand picked vegetables. Fish is simply prepared with a continental feel & roasted in a stone pizza oven. During the day the café serves everything from a Cornish roasted coffee, home baked cakes, luscious Crab Sandwiches, gooey chocolate brownies, flapjacks and home made Cakes. The Deli has a wide range of local Cornish Cheeses, Cornish Salamis, jams, Honey, pates, sourdough bread and Greek olive oil. At the weekend between 10.30am to 2pm they also offer a yummy brunch. The stylish bar offers a full selection of Cornish Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails or you can enjoy a glass of Cornish Wine whilst you relax and enjoy the sea views. They are dog friendly in the Deli and Terrace areas - just advise when booking your table.

In the neighbouring village of Downderry, the Blue Plate is a Bistro; Bar & Deli. For either a candlelit dinner; a light bite or some delicious deli fare to bring home, this place is worth a visit.
