The Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden is the perfect place for kids who love the Ruin Garden, the Meeting Place (which has a water feature that sprays up out of the ground in Summer), a Wetland Area, Bamboo Forest, The Gorge, Plant Tunnel, Kitchen Garden, (full of yummy veggies) and The Rill (a gentle waterway that runs through the garden). Birdwood Ave, Melbourne

This place is a kids wonderland! With so many pockets to explore and hidden holes this place will bring joy to kids aged 1-12. Featuring a bamboo maze, treetop towers, fairy like bridges with little ponds and ducks and an awesome community garden. In Summer there is usually a small water play area running with fountains to cool off in. We recommend bringing a change of clothes and snacks as there aren't many kid friendly eateries nearby. Afterwards check out the ice-cream stall at Jardin Tan. Only 200m across from the playground.

Take the kids here on a hot day. Bring bathers to play in the water features - yummy ice cream at the Observatory cafe.
