Great guided tours on horseback will take you to secluded locations whee your guide will take your photo's. Try the chuck wagon tour and return to a real BBQ outdoors of steak, salad, drinks and corn on the cob. Really good food and nice staff, too. Stay OFF of FOXY though, she's thrown me twice.

Authentic horse back riding on the trails near Fallen Leaf lake in the summer! Great family-owned operation that has been around for years! Kids will love it - breakfast ride is awesome!

See the lake and the mountains from the backroads. The Camp Richardson Corral has been offering horseback rides since the 1930s and has riding packages on their gentle horses. A 50-minute ride is around $40 and a trail ride is around $80. Most rides take you and your family up into the foothills around Fallen Leaf Lake where you can catch views of Lake Tahoe and South Lake Tahoe. If you want some extra time on the trail, check out their Pack Trips into Desolation Wilderness. Hot Tip: The Corral also offers an easy ride near the lake followed by a western style steak BBQ.
