Still run by monks you can experience less carbonated beer (so you can drink more) and typical Austrian food. You have to get up and stand in line for both.

One of the oldest Breweries is Salzburg, still operated to this day by the Augustiner Monastery. This location is frequented by tourists but is a staple of the local population. Grab a fresh beer, then some grilled pork with mustard and fish on the stick at the ground level outside beer-garden, as well as a great many authentic salads and side dishes like the German potato salad and fresh kraut salat, all located at the second floor gallery food vendors.
