Just a short drive from Nacogdoches on HWY 21, this place is excellent for families and for couples looking for an interesting historical site related to indigenous culture. They specialize in Caddo Indian Mounds and history. You can walk around the sites and sign up for their activities they host every weekend!

Located 26 miles west of Nacogdoches, the Caddo Indian Mounds State Historic Site is the southern most ceremonial site of the Mound Builder culture. Three earthen mounds still exist on site today.
