Our local beach 20 min drive -cool beach cafe (summer only ) with bands on a Friday from 5 (summer only ). Lovely peaceful surf beach - usually quiet 🤫 You might even get to see the All Blacks on a training run 🏃♀️ Please feel free to borrow our dogs 🤣

This is another beautiful West Coast beach - a little more user friendly than Muriwai. As well as the beach there's a nice lagoon for the kids to swim in, plus there's a fantastic walk up around the clifftops. Beautiful place for a sunset dinner - but take your own!!

If its dramatic scenery and isolation you're after, then Bethell's is the place to be. The iconic file "The Piano" was filmed here.

Isolated beach with superb scenery - just watch out for the waves and make sure to take some lunch - no shops here!
