Tips from locals
A fun Saturday summer activity is the Capital City Farmers Market downtown on 8th street. Enjoy local food, people watching, fresh produce and a variety of homemade goods.
This is Boise's "real" farmer's market. Fresh produce, artisan cheese and bread, pour-over coffee, taco trucks, kambucha kegs - a collection of all the things that make Boise weird and wonderful.
The Boise Farmers Market offers up goods from local grower/producer/artisans of a variety of foods. Current locale is the corner of Shoreline and Americana. Here you will find a wonderful selection of produce, wines, cheeses, breads, pastas, meats, eggs, etc. Plan to arrive close to opening bell (9am) to get the most selection as some vendors sell out early. The BFM is open from early April through late October and sometimes moves indoors through the Holiday season. (location varies by year)
