We renovated an old house and finished it with a modern Japanese-style interior. As it is an annex of■ "Soromachi Sento Taka-no-Yu Paradise", you can enjoy a self-service ruiyu in the carbonated bath, medicated bath, open-air bath, water bath, and the recently popular Finnish-style wood sauna. It is in a great location about a 10-minute walk to the old town, morning market, night downtown, and convenience stores.

Welcome to "Sumiya Hagakure"! Sumiya Hagakure is located in Ichinomachi, a historic district in Hida Takayama. It quietly stands protected by the stone walls of a temple built by the lord of Takayama Castle 500 years ago. In front of it, the Enako River flows, adorned with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant autumn foliage, offering a serene townscape that transitions from a merchant's town to a samurai's town on slightly elevated land.

It is about 3 minutes on foot from Takayama Station and about 5 minutes on foot from the old town. When you enter the house from the front entrance, you may feel as if you are in an old Japanese house. You can also enjoy the "horigotatsu" and "open-air bath". Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.
