Some lovely local country pubs within walking distance. Dog friendly also with some great walks just across the road. Just off the A1 angel of the north exit so easily accessible as a stop off for a couple of days if you’re travelling somewhere else and want to break up your journey. Also good transport links to Newcastle city 5 minutes away

This little oasis of green is in a super handy location on the edge of the greenbelt, yet near the Team Valley, Metrocentre and Newcastle. There's a bus stop directly outside, with buses into central Newcastle every 30min in the day. Watergate Forest Park is right next door, with a fantastic cafe, lake, swans & lots of other wildlife. We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.
