The path of the postman - miners' house Birnbaum

Romantic accommodation in a 300-year-old original mining house with a preserved "black kitchen" and its own adit in Banská Hodruša - the oldest and most beautiful part of the mining village Hodruša - Hámre, which lies in a narrow valley surrounded on all sides by the beautiful greenery of the Štiavnické vrchy mountains and is part of the UNESCO heritage site "Banská Štiavnica and technical monuments of the surroundings". The cottage provides complete peace and privacy, it is accessible only by a 150 m long steep pedestrian path from the parking lot below the hill.

Humno is a wooden building in a loft design. Authentic wooden walls and beams are complemented by a distinctive architectural element, the "cube", which is a perfect symbol of modernity. On the left is a kitchen with an electric stove, dishwasher and oven. On the right, there is a bathroom with a toilet. The center of the cube is designed as a mini office with a bed and a bedroom was created on top, which is also a transition to a relaxing, climbing net at a height of 3.5 m. Outside, a large terrace was created, in which a heating tub is also embedded.

A modern, carefully renovated wooden cottage on the edge of the village offers a peaceful setting with views of the Low, High and Western Tatras. The original wooden house has been sensitively extended and fitted with modern amenities, combining traditional rural charm with comfort. Our wooden house was made by my grandfather 50 years ago. It consists from living room with fire place, folding sofa bed for 2 persons, small kitchen, bathroom and on the first floor there is one bedroom with a king bed and 3 single beds. During your stay in our wooden hut you could see squirrels, forest birds, stag beetle, salamanders, hedgehogs, and different animals... deers come for visit sometimes. It is located in recreational area of Harmónia near Modra.
