Welcome to Albtal Menzenschwand! Here you can hike, swim, ski, enjoy stars, visit World Heritage Sites or make campfires and relax in the award-winning Revitalbad. The Rehbachhaus is surrounded by the slopes of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park on the edge of a small village below the Feldberg. Stylishly renovated, it overlooks meadows and mountains. Japanese-style bedroom: fixed mattress 160 x 200 cm on Tatami mats (without slatted base), which lie on a 35 cm raised platform. Small bathroom with toilet and shower, fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven (without dishwasher, no microwave), living room with sofa, fast WiFi/WLAN, small TV, terrace with table and chairs. The rental includes the main room, an adjoining bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a small kitchen and a mezzanine with 2 mattresses placed on tatami mats. The restoration was carried out with eco-friendly materials... and with a lot of care and love! You have access to the garden at your leisure!

The old dye works, a factory from the 19th century. century, was expanded for mixed use. In addition to apartments, workshops and a doctor's office, guest rooms were created under the shed roofs of the factory halls. It was important to us to give the old building fabric a new use and to make it tangible. We were able to completely preserve the building shell and reuse renewed components in a different context. New components were left natural.

The complete core renovation in 2022 shows the approx. 70 sqm apartment in modern splendor. The separate entrance leads to the large living and dining area (+new sofa bed) with new kitchen. Due to the open room design, the hallway adjoins the living area and you enter the modern bathroom and 2 bedrooms. A terrace with barbecue facilities and free parking are in front of the apartment. Another approx. 70 sqm apartment is also available for rent.

You will have breakfast on a spacious roof terrace overlooking Freiburg Minster and the Black Forest. The bedrooms are rustic gables and turrets, and because of the sloping roofs CANNOT be locked by doors.

Our small house (built in 2012, awarded the Baden-Württemberg state prize for exemplary construction) is located in an old farmhouse garden in a quiet village. The furnishings are simple so that you can truly enjoy the beauty of the house and garden. We have therefore deliberately chosen not to include a television.
