A substantial part of the mountain range (144 km²) is protected as the so-called Parque rural de Anaga,[1] and since 2015 it has also been a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The highest point is Cruz de Taborno (1,020 m above sea level), other peaks include Bichuelo, Anambro, Chinobre, Pico Limante, Pico del Inglés and Cruz del Carmen. This garden was selected to be included on the book "Gardens of Spain" and the only one in Tenerife. The garden itself is a artwork, with that combination of vulcano materials, the sea, the tropical air and all those paths designed to enjoy each corner of this 10.000 m2 garden. Probably the mostly cosy corner is its elegant swimming pool and the outdoor lounge, inviting to enjoying languidly the sunny winter afternoons and the sunsets all year round. Very close to the famous Playa del Socorro
