Artist's house in Kyoto with a big cypress bath

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto This house used to be one big guest house, but since this Covid19, I have stopped running the guest house and I started to live here with my wife and 2 kids. However I didn't want to quit so I left the good part. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the concept, The slope in front of the house is hard. There is stairs to go up, check online map before you book.

My house is very conveniently located: Keihan railway (Demachiyanagi station) is 1 minute away walking. Shimogamo Jinja (shrine) is 5 minutes walking. Ginkaku-ji (temple) is 10minutes walking. B:Kyoto MACHIYA with garden woodbath Barrier free

Just 5 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with Japanese traditional style garden "Karesansui "garden view. This house is barrier free. There are distance between Tatami room and wood floor but we can prepare bed at wood floor so I think it is no problem. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

In a perfect location, our house has all the charm of a traditional Kyoto townhouse: tatami mat, sliding wooden doors, paper doors, garden-view bathroom, all with luxurious modern facilities and comfort. The house is a 100-year-old townhouse located inside the Chomyo temple, 5mins' walk from subway Sanjo sta. & Kamo river. Also convenient to walk to Gion town and Heian Shrine. Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka.
