Old Colorado City is a favorite tourist spot for eating, drinking and just walking from shop to shop. The town is full of history and is on the way to Red Rocks open space for hiking or continue on RT 24 to Santas Workshop and the theme park.

World renowned, the Air Force Academy is a must. Access the public area by way of Northgate Rd. The Northgate Entrance is just 2 exits south of here off I25. The chapel is awesome.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is east of Denver approximately 30 miles. It is one of the top 5 such sanctuaries in this country and is home to hundreds of formerly mistreated animal who are now living out their final years in peace and tranquillity . There is a mile walkway through the living habitats of bears, wolves, lions tigers and so much more. This is a full day trip. So bring a picnic and drinks, or eat in the cafe. This is a 760 acre refuge.
