Great food especially because they are open in the off-season and for late night bar menu. My "I'm so tired and need a good unfussy dinner on the way home" place.

It's fabulous and a 2 minute walk from the house - Its both restaurant and general store. In the summer, there's everything from coffee & housemade pastry to go, brunch on the patio, nice lunch & fabulous dinners + gelato & smoothies for after the beach snacks. In the winter, there's a supper club and special event dinners & they're nice people!

Shopping

Open air shopping and dining - Crafts & touristy stuff along with a ice cream, a great shoe store and Lace Silhouettes are best bra fitters in the business. Bet you are wearing the wrong size bra - revolution for every woman I've taken there.

All the farm stands are the first place to hit and then head to the big stores to fill in the gaps. They are everywhere along Broadway, Sunset and out by the winery (forget the street name) there's Beach Plum Farm, Rhea's Farm Market, and a woman on Sunset with a stand who bakes her own bread and sells it at 10:00 on Sat morning - its all gone in an hour with a line down the block.

Getting Around

Cape May Bus Depot - Really you need a car around here but it is a way for folks who are joining you later to get down without taking another car - at the old train station - check the schedule online - not available year-round last I checked.

You do really need a car around Cape May County but you can get train at 30th St Station in Philadelphia and be picked up a half hour from house. On a Friday, we take the kids and the suitcases and leave early - we pick up the post-work/I have a basketball game stragglers from Absecon and get some dinner nearby and head back after the traffic has died down.

You can ride your bike and stop at the Beach Plum Farm nearby for some items for dinner on your way back (watch your limits if you are biking back - it's a busy road & tipsy biking is not recommended).
