This Thai restaurant used to be a "best kept secret," but the Food Network has made sure that now EVERYONE knows about it. The food is great, but expect to wait up to an hour for a table (it's first come, first served).

Everyone knows Salt & Straw, but we actually love this place better. Line is shorter, gourmet flavors are amazing, 21+ and non-dairy options are always on the menu.

This place is the real deal - owned and operated by an Italian guy. Even our kids ask to come here, although it is not kid-focused in flavors. This place totally rocks.

Our favorite walkable happy hour/dinner spot. Italian fare with wood-fired pizzas. Great drink menu. And not overpriced.

This place is hipster cool. I recommend it because they have an amazingly delicious honey lavender latte that is made of dreams.

DAMN good burger and above-standard pub food. Also, one of the best pickle plates to be found.

We know a thing or two about amazing Ethiopian food, and we recognize this place as having very good stuff. The best we've had in the world? Nah, but it's certainly better than average!

Drinks & Nightlife

Dots is our local hipster dive bar that has been around for ever. Decent pub food (because this is Portland, I think there are even vegan options), sometimes slow bar service, funky decor, but you know what? Everyone loves Dots.
