This is the place to be between 9-2 on Saturday (and add Wednesday in there during the summer). It is busy, but worth it. Local artisans. great food. Fresh bread. Chocolate scones. A German Bakery - Angelika's (OMG), sausages, to eat or buy, organic produce, flowers, coffee (see Brett), tea - it has it all! Even music outside most good weather days.

Now n Zen is owned by your hosts! It has amazing coffee and is a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Laid back and cosy atmosphere and fast wifi! Just across the bridge on the right, in Stratford. The Cafe boasts locally roasted, fairtrade and organic coffee. A mix of retail, much of it local, and gorgeous teas blended on PEI with many wildcrafted local items in the mixes. There is a yoga studio and you can drop in for morning classes and get your yoga fix. There is a massage therapist, a homeopath, and other healthcare practitioners in the Wellness Centre. Our guests receive a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks, just alert the staff person behind the counter!

Parks & Nature

This is my heaven on PEI - which is already pretty heavenly. The Confederation Trail from Morell to Saint Peters is beautiful if you are cycling. There are forest trails, a floating boardwalk, awesome beach, and the wind is usually blowing and you feel like you are transported to another time. But there are composting toilets. ;) If you can get out of town, this is a not to be missed awesome place.

A great place to walk after dinner. A nice boardwalk next to the harbour, herons fishing, and hardly anyone there! If it were Europe there would be 1000s of people. You might run into 30 - 50 peeps. I love Vic Park in the night. Magical. In the day there is Tennis, a pottery place, a snack bar open fairly late with ice cream, a play park for kids, a skate park, a pool, running through the water thingys. And a woods to walk through. And Deadman's Pond! Love!

Arts & Culture

If you are here to please yourself you can't go wrong with a night at the theatre. This is where Anne shows, folks. You will love it. The Mack theatre is across the street and is part of their flock. There is an amazing art gallery on site, a restaurant, a great bar, Mavors. And a library with kids activities and more. Fun for the whole fam. Check it!

What a great piece of architecture. Tiny museum. Well worth a trip. Events in the carriage house. Kids stuff. Next to Victoria Park. I went there often when the children were small.

Entertainment & Activities

Victoria By the Sea is a destination. They have a great Theatre with AC, a chocolate making store. Yummy seafood. good restaurants, especially Eugene Sauve's place, amazing jewelry store by Barbara Nymark, a weavery, pottery, artist shops with the actual artists in them, a cool bookstore with collectibles, antiques, FUN PLACE - give yourself a day or at least several hours... did I say the chocolate shop is amazing? Rent kayaks, and there is a beach just a short walk - or jump right off the dock with the locals - they are jumping there all day!
