Surly gets much credit for starting the MN craft beer boom due to it's taproom license bill (Surly Bill 2011). It offers a large beer hall and has popular brewery tours. Outdoor seating (when open) is abundant for relaxing and playing yard games.

Watch the waterfall and look at the dominant skyline. Guthrie theater is very close, go inside and ask for the endless bridge. This is a great view of the Stone Arch Bridge, and historic Main street on the other side of river. Go there next for a great drink at Aster Cafe and catch some live music.
