A trip to the Garden Route is not complete without visiting the Knysna Heads. You can view it from the upper viewpoint (not for those with serious fear of heights), or view it from the bottom viewpoint. Another option is to take a ferry through the heads and have lunch at The Featherbed restaurant.

Parks & Nature

A must see is the beautiful Storms River Nature Reserve. You can take one of the Country's most picturesque walks to the suspension bridge that crosses the Storms River Mouth. Braai at the Rest-camp area. Watch the spectacular waves crash against the rocks. Snorkel in the Marine Reserve and explore the fantastic rock pools. Our "secret one", is at the far end of the Rest-camp. Or take a kayak / lilo down the Storms River with Untouched Adventures.

Robberg Nature Reserve next to Plettenberg Bay is one of our favorites. Robberg means "Seal Mountain". You can see countless seals basking in the sun and swim close to shore. On a clear day, you might spot some Great White Sharks from the upper footpath on the eastern side. The Western side has beautiful, secluded beaches.

It is Keurbooms tradition to walk from Enrico's restaurant to Arch Rock and try to throw a stone through the upper hole. Along the way you can explore the blow-hole cave at low-tide, or watch the water spray out at high tide. Closer to Arch Rock you can take the upper footpath and visit the Matjes River Bushmen excavation site. Certain times of the year children love to play or have picnic next to the Matjes river below (next to Arch Rock).
