Food Scene

Cute dessert shop serving many delicious French pastries. I love their caneles! They're baked in copper molds, just like the authentic Bordelaise caneles in France. The shop is small with limited seating, though. There is a patio at the back. Staffs are very friendly!

Best ramen in town! Long queue around lunch/dinner time (up to 30 minutes wait). I always order Spicy Miso Ramen (less salty) and Edamame and Saporo Beer. Ahhh good combo!

Getting Around

The affordable and fun way to get around the city. No need to return the car, just pick it up anywhere and leave it at your destination (within the home area.) Check their website for more details. I've been using them for a year already. My favourite model is Smart ForTwo!

A small neighborhood / district with various restaurants and unique vintage shops. You can see just how diverse Toronto is just in these few blocks. There are so many cool, unique shops and restaurants. Some of the shops are vintage clothing shops with a bit of a thrift store feel. Others are quirky knick knack shops, or specialty shops. There are even some produce stands that make it a little like a farmers market.

This is an indoor market and a foodie's heaven. The array of gourmet fruits, vegetables, baked goods, European and Canadian gourmet specialty gifts, handmade artisan wares, unique and quirky gifts and stock souvenirs is outstanding. You can find little tables and bar style seating, on the second floor if you'd like to have a casual meal from one or a combination of vendors.
