One of the closest places to get some coffee and it's queer friendly. Lots of loose teas on the shelf, as well.

These are local heroes, and friends. They've been winning awards for their roastery, and their shop has been expanding. No frills, no pretension, just great coffee. Third wave, babe!

This is a Rochester highlight that I can't praise highly enough. Go for the food, the people watching, the scene... It's not to be missed. And if you like to go food shopping, you'll love it.

This is a family-run restaurant of high quality with no pretension. They change their menu to a different part of the world every other week. And their brunch and bake shop are top notch! Make a reservation before you head over.

The most interesting and avant garde movie theater in the city, if not the country. The Dryden Theatre has been showing independent, foreign and other high quality film series for a long time. Films are screened once, possibly twice on a weekend, and then they move on. The Dryen has scores of films in their archives - one of the most prolific in the world - and taps into this for their well curated film screenings.
