Shortish country walk along the valley leads to this stunning Manor with its new purpose-built and beautiful café serving teas and coffee with home made cakes and light lunch menu. We often walk there for a coffee, and sometimes brunch! highly recomended. And then there's its famous and fabulous Italianate gardens. The Cafés winter opening times are Fri - Sun; 10am - 3pm Summer opening times TBA. The gardens are open from 1st April to 30th September. Bike hire in Bradford on Avon, opposite The Lock Inn, our hire fleet comprises of top quality bikes from major manufacturers. The towpath offers traffic free and easy cycling for all the family. Stretching from the port of Bristol to the town of Reading over, through and along hills and valleys, the cities and towns along the way offer an interesting back drop to the wonderful country path. Bradford on Avon is an ideal start point for a day out. Ten miles to the city of Bath, or 12 miles to the market town of Devizes, with the famous Devizes flight of 29 Locks. Historic world-renowned, this is an amazing sight. It is however quite expensive and you shepherded around at a distance. The museum there is very good though. Alternatively, Avebury with its ancient stone circle, museum and manor house in the heart of the Avebury World Heritage Site is well worth a visit.
