One of the easier hikes available. Parking along West Lake Blvd. trail leads up South side of boulder. You just head south from Tahoe City and can't miss it. The giant cliff face juts out over the highway and those atop can be seen enjoying the view.

This park and beach offers a large enough wooded area that kids can frolic freely without concern. Two parking area's along Lake Forest Road and a drop off point at the end of Lake Terrace, but parking can still be limited. It's a nice walk over from the house, just use caution crossing North Lake Blvd. A day camp run by our local Parks and Rec department (summer only) make this the go to spot for kids in visiting the area.

The local's grocery. It's a healthfood store with a similar feel to whole foods. Great beer selection and best produce in town. If you stop by midweek the Uncommon Kitchen in back is awesome. Many vegan or other alternative food options.
