This place has been a favorite of mine for years. Even as the world has changed drastically surrounding this spot, it stays just as good as it was the day it opened. Steaks, Whiskey, no nonsense. I recommend the chopped sirloin with queso added!

Arts & Culture

The San Antonio Museum of art was the work of a few visionaries who saw a cultural need in the city and took to an abandoned Lone Star Beer brewery as their prime location. The Museum has an extensive collection ranging from ancient Egyptian art to contemporary works and everything in between. On site restaurant 'Sketch' has quickly become a local favorite and helps facilitate a full day at the museum without grumbling tummies. An added bonus is that I work here! Please let me know if I can provide you or your family with any recommendations or information regarding the Museum.

Marion Koogler McNay (7 February 1883 – 13 April 1950), was an American painter and art teacher who inherited a substantial oil fortune upon the death of her father. She later willed her fortune to be used to establish San Antonio's first museum of modern art, which today bears her name. This museum has a focused collection and rotating exhibitions. Be sure to check out first Thursdays of the month on the lawn, featuring free admission, food trucks, & live music!

Entertainment & Activities

The Drafthouse is the ultimate movie going experience. Sit comfortably and be served like a king! Full bar and extensive food menu will keep you satisfied while you enjoy the latest movies! We recommend buying tickets online before you show up because it is an assigned seating situation and you want to make sure the whole gang gets to sit together.
