Arts & Culture

Quite simply, our favorite place to be. Sunrise/sunset "Way of Color" by James Turrell is a must-experience. And the art, all of the art, an amazing and beautifully-curated museum. And it is free! (Some featured exhibits have a fee attached, but the museum galleries are free for everyone.)

Very nice theater located at the Bentonville High School. Multiple community and National based arts organizations have also established the AAC as their theatrical home. Annual events include performances by the Arkansas Philharmonic, NWA Conservatory of Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, Miss Arkansas USA Pageant, and Masquerade Dance Competition to name a few. Professional and International performers as well.

Getting Around

Domino is at Mile 31 of the 37-mile Razorback Greenway. If you have time and energy, you can do the whole thing in a few hours (we always spend the night in Fayetteville if we do that); but you can ride any portion and it is beautiful.

Parks & Nature

Domino is at Mile 31 of the Greenway. North is 6 miles to Bella Vista Lake, and it is a lovely ride past Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. South is toward Fayetteville, along creeks and streams and even a lake or two in Springdale and Fayetteville. If you have the time and wherewithal, we highly recommend doing this! Lots of nice places to stop for a picnic along the way.

It's a few hours' trip, but a beautiful drive! There are a lot of walking trails, but don't miss the "town" part of the park, Bathhouse Row, with a guided tour at Fordyce Bathhouse. You can enjoy the hot springs experience "updated" at Quapaw Bathhouse, or the old-fashioned, time honored way at Buckstaff. Good coffee at Kollective, good food at Rolando's.

Multi-screen, super modern, drinks and food at your recliner seat! Mostly first-run commercial films, you may find an independent film there as well. This could go up in "Drinks and Nightlife," too, as the full bar and restaurant is available without buying a movie ticket, and it's a nifty environment.
