Sweet water spot! It is well kept and very clean. They have life guards on duty providing a safe environment too. It is a great place to cool off during the hot summer season and offers a fun atmosphere. They have it sectioned so rafts are allowed in one area, driving board in another, deep section for swimmers, also shallow for kids. Also. There is another area entirely for people to bring their dogs to play, which is cool. There are plenty of places to sun bath and people watch .

My husband and I were so fascinated by the exhibits at the Bullock that we ended up spending almost six hours there! We spaced out the timing of the two Texas Spirit Theatre films to give ourselves some sit-down time, as well as enjoying surprisingly delicious sandwiches at the cafe. We came away from our day there being sorry we aren’t Texans! :-)

Thinkery is where Austin’s children and their families come to enjoy play-based, inquiry-rich, hands-on learning experiences. In 1983, a group of Austin parents and educators created a space to provide innovative new educational and cultural opportunities to local children. Over the next three decades and rooted deeply in its commitment to supporting a thriving Austin community, the Austin Children’s Museum would grow and evolve into Thinkery, which today offers 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activities for children and families to learn through play.

10/24/2018 I spent my birthday at Juniper this year and had the most personalized experience I've yet to have at an Austin restaurant. I won't give away the surprises, but know that the staff and chefs are all incredibly top notch and attentive. Along with the restaurant decor and music creating a great vibe, THE FOOD IS INSANE!!!! We started off with the puffed potatoes with dijon cream and the chicken liver mouse. Both were incredible and we quickly realized that all of the 5 star Yelp reviews are correct.

Tends to book solid acts. Especially for Punch. That's what's driving my 5 stars. Pretty standard comedy club service and such. Food is priced more or less as expected, standard short order stuff with good sized portions. Cocktails are a bit better than they need to be and never watered down. Beer and wine is selection is pretty basic, but there's a surprising array of liquor choices if you ask.

Loved this rooftop lounge!! When celebrating a Dirty Thirty birthday, location matters! So I'm so hyped that my cousins chose this spot to celebrate at. Located in Downtown Austin, we slid up the unremarkable stairs in a single-file line and poured out onto a huge rooftop that was definitely on 10 by the time we arrived. Taking a moment to look around as the bold club nights beamed over us, I noted how incredibly diverse the crowd was! From mohawks to Moms, to frat boys in Dockers and flashy chicks with their Gucci clutch tucked underneath their arms; I loved that we were all there to party.

Hops and Grain is a real keeper. This is a small place that really caters to beer enthusiasts. The taproom is open on Fridays and Saturdays only. The tour operates on a schedule (check the website) and takes 10-30 minutes, depending only on the number of questions asked of the brewer. Don't expect anything more than good craft beer and the opportunity to learn about the process from a brewer who is enthusiastic about what he does, and you won't be disappointed.
