Sightseeing

A trip to The Blasket Island is a must do when staying in Dunquin! Ferry trips are weather dependent and run from April to the end of Sept. The ferry departs from Dunquin pier. The pier is a 10min walk from the apartment and the ferry journey is approximately 30min each way. You can hike on the island, relax on the beach watching the many seals or go on a walk through the ruins of the island village. The island has been unhabited since 1953/54.

Cruach Mhárthain is an easy hike. You can start directly at the apartment and it takes about 1.5hr to the peak. From the top of the mountain you get to see 360° views of the Dingle Peninsula. (403m).

The local link is a bus service that operates a few times each day. You can get the bus from Dunquin to Dingle for only a couple of euro each way. The bus stops at Krugers pub just a few minutes walk from the apartment.
