Neighbourhood

Cronulla is derived from the Aboriginal word Kurranulla, meaning ''place of the small pink seashell'' in the dialect of the area's Indigenous inhabitants, the Gweagal, who were a clan of the Dharawal tribe. They inhabited the southern geographic areas of Sydney. We acknowledge the Dharawal speaking people, traditional custodians of the land, and pay respect to elders past, present and future. We are happy to be hosting you in our AirBnB space. We live in the adjoining house, but will leave you in peace. You have our contact details should you need anything, so please let us know. We have hopefully supplied all your needs, including cutlery, crockery, glasses etc. as well as the kettle, toaster and microwave for snacks. Tea, coffee and plunger, milk etc. are all in the cupboards. All your linen for the bedroom, and towels for the bathroom are supplied, as well as spares in the drawers if you need. There is a powerboard, iron and ironing board in the cupboard. There are 2 beach towels in the cupboard as well, should you wish to have a swim. The local Coffee Shops: Sixsmith, Shelly Park Shop and Mint are minutes away and are very popular for their fresh brews, as well as hearty food. The Nun’s Pool (Licensed restaurant) is also open for brekky and lunch 7 days a week, and The Little Parrot (BYO) is just around the corner for dinners Wed - Sunday.
Swim in the Surf and Bay beaches, walk the Esplanade, or picnic in Oak Park, Shelley Park, Darook Park or Gunnamatta Park. Enjoy a coffee at Sixsmith, Shelley Park, Nun's Pool or Mint coffee shops during the days. At night you could dine at The Little Parrot, The Cronulla RSL or the upmarket Waterline Restaurant. There are also may eating options in Cronulla, include Pilgrim's vegan cafe and Little Italy Italian restaurant.
