Ways to save
The first sunday of the month, Academia used to be free.
In Venice do not try to go in any ristorante that we do not advice. It could be bad food and very expensive. In Venice you paid for the coperto, the water and sometime 12% of the bill for the service. Take care and follow our advice.
Getting around
try a Gondola, especially if you are a group.
Vaporetto station is San Basilio you have many lines there. To go to lido, Biennale giardini or Arsenal, Piazza San Marco (San zaccaria), Piazzale roma or train station, it is very easy ! You have also Zattere stop or Academia that is not fare. The grand canal in vaporetto is nice to do it L1 or L2 to see the view. The taxi cab stop at San Basilio or you can also take the taxi boat from the aeroport as well.
Book before you go
buy your ticket of vaporetto on line if you arrive by train
Make sure you take a small umbrella. Take costume for swimming by summer, the glass for sun, make sure your cell phone is charging when you'll arrive. Take care of pick pocket when there is many peoples.
