There are several places to ride horses, but this is my preferred. The staff is always very helpful, no matter what your level of horsemanship.

Massanutten offers plenty to do for just about everyone. You can ski, tube, or for the summer months, there is a very nice water park and pool. It is about a 30 minute drive.

Luray Caverns is always a good idea. There are also many other caverns within a short drive- Endless Caverns, Shenandoah Caverns.

This is a very nice pool. They often will hose night swims and movies. I usually look these events up on their social media page.
