Surf Lessons at Arpoador
You really shouldn't leave Rio without a surf lesson at Arpoador. You are after all at one of the most iconic surf spots in Brazil. Take advantage of the numerous surf schools on the beach, close to the rocks of Arpoador.
What to pack
Keep it minimal
Rio's fashion is easygoing and casual, don't go overboard with expensive accessories on the beach or broad-walk. During the busy times on sunny weekends and summer, when hoards of tourists flock to beautiful Arpoador, unfortunately, every now and then, the crowds also attract unwanted characters. To be aware of your surroundings is always a good tip.
