Cute restaurant, relatively tourist-free + mostly local. Great for just grabbing a coffee at the bar or on one of the couches, but also lovely for dinner (get the meatballs!)

One of our favorites, there's a great bar and a big restaurant at the back. The brick chicken with broccoli is fantastic for dinner. Also, the owners are longtime locals + super friendly!

Australian-owned spot (with a menu to reflect it!). The menu's overpriced, but it's fun to sit at the bar + have a drink. There's a second quieter wine bar at the back, if you're looking for quiet :)

Great Italian food. Sit out the back under the sky light and order one of their super thin crust pizzas. Staff are always friendly and the food's always excellent.

Hole-in-the-wall (literally) Australian spot. Take cash, no credit card. Order the Bronte burger (you won't regret). If you're in to lighter eating, the pumpkin salad with chicken is the ticket!

Another Australian spot. 2 for 1 mimosas at the bar on weekends! They also show the rugby + the cricket, so you're definitely in for a fix of Aussie here :) There's a cute courtyard out back, as well.

Maybe the best chicken tacos in town. Also, they're $3, more money to spend on shopping!

Secret upmarket surf store (the only in NY) that also serves great coffee. There's a little-known deck out the back of the store, where you can escape from the craziness of Soho and enjoy some sun!

Dependable fashion at great price points. They stock both men's and women's wear. Gets pretty crazy on the weekend, be sure to go late morning/early afternoon if you're shopping on a weekend.

Lots of good pieces for reasonable prices. They also stock a good range of pop-culture-oriented books. The 2nd floor usually has a sale going on, shhhh :)

Cheap, dependable and easy. But they only usually have 4 change rooms open and it's a big store. So best not to go later in the afternoon, you'll be in line for longer than it's worth.

It's so ridiculously cheap, it's hard not to recommend. The quality of the fabric isn't great, but you're getting what you paid for. They have great basics that last a couple of seasons as well.
