It’s the country store where it all began for Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods. Das Peach Haus is still the only place where you can see and taste every single Fischer & Wieser product. It’s a true Texas Hill Country treasure, offering beautiful outdoor surroundings, light bites, and bakery items. Take public and private cooking classes with culinary instructors, or wine tasting with the region’s best selections, not to mention seasonal live music when the weather permits. They also have a small tasting room on Main St. While you’re there, check out Dietz Distillery next door.

Main Street

Main Street is the center of the action in Fredericksburg where you can find more than 150 shops, boutiques, and art galleries as well as dozens of restaurants, wine tasting rooms, a brewpub, two museums, and more. Shopping on Main Street is so fun with stores for everyone! Our favorite places to shop in town are the home stores on Lincoln St. and Main Steet. A few local tips •Most shops and boutiques close around 5:00 PM daily and hours vary, so make sure to plan ahead! •Public Restrooms are located at the Pioneer Museum Marketplatz and the Visitor Information Center.
Getting around

Parking

Parking along Main Street can be a challenge on busy days. Head to the Visitor Information Center’s parking lot tucked just a block off Main Street for a great free parking lot at 302 East Austin Street.
