From Thursday through to Sunday this restaurant is Tapas and it is outstanding. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and atmosphere are both great. 0.5 mile walk from the apartment so it's very local.

The Michelin guide restaurant of Margate located centrally in the Old Town. The food is unfussy but exceptional and great value for what is high end dining. Their Sister restaurant, Dory's, is also great but it is walk ins only, so prepared to have a bit of a wait.

Our local fish and chip shop - excellent quality and always goes down well. They don't deliver so you have to collect.

A 'proper' Italian restaurant with a fantastic selection of homemade authentic dishes. The selection of seafood pasta dishes are to die for. If you want something more casual the pizza is also excellent.
It is a very popular place so you MUST book.

The wine list has a fantastic selection of wines and sherries and is a great place to go for wine and nibbles.
The tapas is outstanding - top quality and beautifully presented. I can't believe the place isn't run by Spaniards!

We have some amazing vineyards in Kent that are producing exceptional quality sparkling and still wines. Barnsole is a small, family run vineyard just outside of Sandwich. Really worth a visit and there is not need to book to do a tasting.

Days out
A short drive from the apartment, this is a really lovely zoo and a great family day out. There are lots of activities for children including outdoor play areas, cars and an indoor softplay. Our daughter loves it here.

A truly magical garden centre (not commercial and no café). If you love your tropical plants, this place has everything. It also has a calming oasis tranquillity about it. I love coming here, even when I have no plants to buy!

Local pub
This is a large family pub in Broadstairs. It has beautiful views of the sea and is located on the cliff top. This is not fine cuisine, but just really good quality pub grub and we particularly enjoy the Sunday roast dinners. Excellent value for money and is child friendly.

Sandwich is a beautiful market town next to Deal. Be on the lookout for its weekly markets and independent shops. A lovely place to visit and the local pub, The Kings Arms, does great food.
