Neos Kosmos is a residential place located in the perfect spot to explore Athens yet quite and has the local feel. Neos Kosmos "New World" at the southern part of the historic Athens' with a great vibe, and still not as hectic as the northern historic center. Close to all main MUST sites of Athens: Acropolis, Acropolis museum, 1st Cemetery of Athens, Temple of olympian Zeus, National Museum of Contemporary Art and much more. With a metro and tram station Sigrou-Fix with can take you easily to where ever you want. It is a very safe area to roam and has all one's need. I fell in love with the people who are mainly mid-class and warm. I know the shop owners and I feel home every time I'm there.

At the end of the Sounio Peninsula at the southernmost point of Attica, lies the Temple of Poseidon within a fort that protects the coast of Attica. Made entirely of white marble, it was erected in the middle of the 5th century BC and built to honour Poseidon, god of the sea. You will be mesmerised by the blankets of blues, reds and oranges that engulf the temple as the sun descends into the sea. British poet Lord Byron was one of many who fell under its spell, composing poetry in its honour and has his name carved on one of its iconic marble pillars (although who did this is debatable). https://whyathens.com/temple-of-poseidon/

Maybe it’s the allure of the city having been the first capital of modern Greece; maybe it’s the combination of its breath-taking beaches and picturesque alleys; maybe it’s the fact that Nafplio carries the same aesthetic as Athens’ Plaka, only ten folds. Whichever the reason, Nafplio is arguably one of the most striking and romantic cities of Greece, dearly beloved by both locals and visitors, proving Henry Miller’s quote nothing short of true. On its -already excessive- pros list, being only 2 hours away from Athens is pretty high up, making Nafplio, the capital of the regional unit of Argolis, an excellent short getaway destination in Greece. Ruled in the past by Frankish, Venetian, and Turkish conquerors, Nafplio offers a diverse landscape of medieval castles, fortified islets, and striking beaches, perfect for your next Greek weekend getaway! Here, we present to you a list of the top things to do in Nafplio, if you fancy visiting it. https://greeking.me/blog/visiting-peloponnese/item/87-things-to-do-in-nafplio
