Consider it an interactive Lego Museum. Even if you don't want to buy a ticket and go around, I recommend a quick look inside the building and a walk around on the building.
The outside of the building is a great playground.

Now a teddy bear museum but previously the home of the Kirk Kristiansens ( owners of Lego). There's also a cosy little cafe and a beautiful garden. 400 metres from the house.

Billund is covered in parks and forested areas, many are very close to our properties. 'The capital of childern' ensures these are clean safe places and local childen go unsupervised from a very young age.

The Severn year lakes, stunning scenery!
If you fit this is walkable, or maybe try cycling. it's very weird to see sandjunes in the middle of jutland. Some great walks with local fauna. Our botanist friend got so excited with licen that grew vertically, he has never seen it before and it only occurs in areas of ultra clean air! Kids love running in the dunes!

If you are in Ribe before 2.30 we strongly recommend a delicious cake or sandwich with your coffee at Sct. Peter Butik and Cafe. This is an outreach organisation where people make reasonably priced 'one off' designer clothing a cafe. An organisation that is both rewarding and tasty to support.

On the West Coast, you need a car! Stunningly designed museum set on an old refugee centre, 15,000 Germans fled Germany after WW Il and lived her for many years, some of the exhibits are quite sobering. This is the only museum that is not on German soil, that Germany has helped fund.

Traveler advice
Getting around
Getting to and from the airport.
BUSES:
You can catch buses 43, 143, 144, 944X, 166. Ask for BILLUND CENTRET. Drivers usually accept cards but the easiest is to download the app 'Sydtrafik'.
The trip takes 9 minutes. The last bus usually leaves at 23:14.
Use G maps from the station, our houses are 400 to 600m from the bus station. In the summer season, use the free shuttle bus.
WALKING:
The airport and Billund are connected by a walkway (3 km).
TAXI:
Approx 150 kroner.
TRAVEL IN DENMARK:
Bus to Vejle and then train to Copenhagen or Århus.
